Springtime Events to Look Forward to in Southern Arizona

Due to the exceptional weather and access to so much culture, Southern Arizona is host to a variety of events throughout the year. Spring is one of the best times to attend some of these festivals, such as the Renaissance Festival or Wild West Days in Tombstone. Let’s take a closer look at the many events to enjoy this spring in Southern Arizona.

Renaissance Festival
The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a beloved event that will soon be celebrating its 30th anniversary. Patrons come from all over the state to visit the small community located outside of Florence. The festival runs from February to April, and it features shows, games, food, and shopping for every age.

Tucson Festival of Books
The Tucson Festival of Books, also called TFOB, is celebrating its 10th year as a haven for book lovers and writers alike. It is held in March and features speaking engagements and signings with authors from all over the world. TFOB also has a variety of booths and hotspots for people to learn about the community, different cultures, and a variety of special interest topics.

Tombstone Wild West Days
Tombstone is an exciting location to visit, and it offers a variety of events throughout the year. One of those events—the Tombstone Wild West Days—is held in March and features a parade, street entertainment, and rodeo games. In 2018, the Wild West Days will be dedicated to the men and women of the United States’ Armed Forces.

Southwest Wings Spring Fling
Southwest Wings is a nonprofit organization that seeks to educate and entertain people about the value of the Southwest’s birds and beautiful environment. In May, Southwest Wings will host a Spring Fling in Sierra Vista that features field trips and free programs for registered and non-registered attendees.
